Task 1: Read
Read pages 364-368
Choose TWO of the three projects listed to complete for Unit 4.

Create a Job Advertisement
Search for a job that you have always wanted (include a link to the job ad).
Then make a job advertisement for the president (Make sure it includes similar elements to the job ad that you searched for and then add the elements of a president based on pages 364-368 AND what you desire in a good president).
Type it up into a GoogleDoc and submit onto Canvas assignment.

President Vs CEO
How do the president’s salary and responsibilities compare to those of a CEO in the private sector?
  1. Make a chart with the following headings: Name, Company Name,Responsibilities, Salary, Bonuses, Travel, Health Care, Housing, Miscellaneous. Fill it out for the president and a CEO.
  2. Use the internet to find information about the five CEOs and the president in the United States and complete the chart.
  3. Answer the question: Do you think the president’s compensation is equal to the job’s responsibilities? Give specific examples to support your claim (For instance, what are his responsibilities.

Read Pages 372-373 on the Vice President 
The Constitution only gives the Vice President two duties, neither of which requires much time. What has Joe Biden (Obama's VP) or Mike Pence (Trump's VP) done as Vice President?
  1. Research the daily life of V.P. Biden as well as his major accomplishments.
  2. create a comic illustrating his role in our government. Comic must have at least 6 squares with captions explaining the images and must be full color. 
  3. Answer the question: Do you think the VP is qualified to take over for the President? Give specific examples to support your claim.

  1. Use the internet to research this question. Write down your findings.
  2. Create a children’s book with at least 6 pages to illustrate your findings. Each page must have text and a picture.
  3. Incorporate at least 2 of the powers of the president clearly into your project.
